Of course, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20100610\/ap_on_re_us\/us_army_experience_center_2\">the hippies are taking credit<\/a> for the closure;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Lepley said the demonstrations had nothing to do with the decision to close the center, but activist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=10373\">Elaine Brower<\/a>, of Staten Island, N.Y., said she was thrilled. She had been particularly galled by the center&#8217;s mall location, between a skateboard park and an arcade.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We really consider this a major victory for us,&#8221; Brower said. &#8220;We are happy that they are not going to be in the mall.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The statistics should teach the hippies a lesson about their fears. Thirty-nine thousand seven hundred and sixty five visitors to the center decided not to join the Army.
