{"id":18877,"date":"2010-04-28T17:59:19","date_gmt":"2010-04-28T22:59:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=18877"},"modified":"2010-04-28T17:59:19","modified_gmt":"2010-04-28T22:59:19","slug":"proof-the-army-is-confused-about-blogging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=18877","title":{"rendered":"Proof the Army is confused about blogging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s an article in Wired&#8217;s Danger Room entitled &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/dangerroom\/2010\/04\/actually-the-army-kind-of-likes-your-blog\/\">Actually, the Army Kind of Likes Your Blog<\/a>&#8221; by Noah Shachtman that reports on the Army&#8217;s attempt to get a grasp of the milblogosphere&#8217;s opinion of them;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Every week, the defense contractor MPRI prepares for the brass a \u201cBlogosphere and Social Media Report,\u201d rounding up sites\u2019 posts on military matters. It\u2019s meant to be a single source for top officers to catch up on what\u2019s being said online and in leading social media outlets. Items from about two dozen national security and political blogs are excerpted, and classified as \u201cbalanced,\u201d \u201ccritical,\u201d or \u201csupportive.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, the problem is that they&#8217;re looking at &#8220;This Ain&#8217;t Hell&#8221; way too much to be at all helpful to them. 18 times in the three week period that Danger Room evaluated &#8211; more than almost any other blog. That&#8217;s not healthy &#8211; we don&#8217;t know what we&#8217;re doing here. <\/p>\n<p>To demonstrate how clueless they are, they included some of your comments in the report, too.
