I know I haven’t mentioned the IVAW’s flag burning last month in a while, but it’s time has come again. It seems that there is still an internal discussion going on and some of it leaks out through the cracks in IVAW’s leaky security. Most recently, one member of the Los Angeles Chapter sent out a missive on the subject (all of the spelling, grammar and lack of Caps is from the original);
\n<\/p>\n

most of the IVAW membership is what we call “inactive.” they have joined, submitted their paperwork, agree with our principles, but because of work, school, PTSD, etc, are not “active” in their local chapters. I don’t know what our membership count is up to now but i know i can safely assume that most people in IVAW are proud of their service. now, it is difficult to understand and make a clear distinction between the wars and our service for most people.<\/p>\n

for most IVAW members this is an easy distinction to make.<\/p>\n

Now, there are only about 15% of IVAW members actually truly involved in IVAW as “active” members. As you and I can conclude these are the people making the moves and decisions for the organization: where it goes, it’s mission, its actions, etc etc.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately (yes, i said it) most of these vocal active people are socialists. so what direction do you think these people are moving the organization????<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The author continues that the perception of IVAW is that it takes on the character of it’s most public figures, but that the opposite is true. Funny, but since most of the leadership are also members of the International Socialist Organization, that’s the direction the organization will continue.<\/p>\n

guys, we must stay focused on the mission. if you are looking to end capitalism, make America socialist, or save the baby seals, i urge you to seek and participate in an organization whose explicit mission is just that, saving the seals, making america socialist, etc etc. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

IVAW has become that organization. Look at the straphangers at IVAW’s public appearances. World Can’t Wait, ANSWER, Not in Our Name – all socialist organizations, founded by real life communists in the same role as communists and socialists who covertly took over the anti-war movements of World War I-era Russia. Why do you think Amadee Braxton<\/a> coordinates with outside orgs? She’s an activist and she brings in socialist money. According to Jesse MacBeth, she was the one who facilitated his fraud.<\/p>\n

And, oh, someone sent me this screen shot of what Matthis thinks of you all – he doesn’t honor your service, he pities you;

And, oh, again, Matthis has now taken to this bio to cover up some of his older lies;<\/p>\n

Matthis joined the U.S. Army at age 18. For five years, he worked in Public Affairs until being discharged as a sergeant in \u201807 following tours in Japan and Germany, with shorter deployments to the Philippines and Afghanistan.<\/strong> He publicly refused activation and deployment to Iraq from the IRR in \u201808 and won a victory for resisters when the military discharged him under honorable conditions as a result.<\/strong> Mathis has been going to high school classrooms all over New York City on the We Are Not Your Soldier to tell students the truth about what happens when you join the U.S. Military. Mathis currently sits on the Board of Directors for Iraq Veterans Against The War.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The emphasis is mine. “shorter deployments to the Philippines and Afghanistan”; not even deployments. More like a whistle stop. He was in those places for a few days each to write articles for the Army. If it was a deployment, it’s be in his files;<\/p>\n

It wasn’t a court martial – it was an administrative hearing.<\/p>\n
