I was just minding my own business today and reading a blog post about some crackpot theory that the CIA and the Mossad<\/a> planned and executed the attack on Moscow’s subway system this last week, when I discovered that the author was using Gordon Duff<\/a> as an unimpeachable source. The article the author was quoting from Duff is entitled “Terrorism; Always Suspect a False Flag First<\/a>“<\/p>\n

So what evidence does Duff use to support his theory that the terrorist attack in Moscow was a false flag operation by the CIA?<\/p>\n

\n

* 67 percent of Republicans (and 40 percent of Americans overall) believe that Obama is a socialist
\n * 45 percent of Republicans (25 percent overall) agree with the Birthers in their belief that Obama was \u201cnot born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president\u201d
\n * 38 percent of Republicans (20 percent overall) say that Obama is \u201cdoing many of the things that Hitler did\u201d
\n * 57 percent of Republicans believe President Obama is a Muslim
\n * 24 percent of Republicans believe President Obama may be the AntiChrist<\/p>\n

And it gets worse:<\/p>\n

* 57% of Republicans either believe or are not sure that health care reform is a diabolical government plot to create death panels
\n * 91% of conservative Republicans call Obama a socialist, Marxist, communist, or fascist
\n * 72% of Republicans either think or haven\u2019t made up their minds about whether Obama was born in the USA. 42% are solid birthers
\n * 80% of Republicans support extending the Patriot Act
\n * 67% of Republicans oppose the choice of a public health insurance option (only 40% of all Americans oppose)
\n * 70% of Republicans oppose a woman\u2019s right to chose having an abortion
\n * 60% of Republicans oppose making it easier for workers to organize
\n * 60% of Republicans are creationists
\n * Only 6% of scientists are Republican
\n * 68% of Republicans are not at all concerned about Climate Change
\n * Only 23% of Republicans believe in natural evolution
\n * Only 38% of Republicans support funding embryonic stem cell research<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I shit you not. Somehow Republicans are still running the CIA in Duff’s World, despite the fact that Democrats control two branches of the US government (and half of the third branch) and Leon (freakin’) Panetta (for Pete’s sake) runs the CIA. The reason Republicans are blowing up Moscow commuters; they don’t support embrionic stem cell research? Really?<\/p>\n

And, oh, if you go to his article, you’ll notice that his links to the above statistics go to places like the Daily Kos – good non-partisan sources.<\/p>\n

Shades of the faked moon-landings, in an earlier article, Duff claims that the Marjah operation in Afghanistan last month never happened<\/a>. His reasoning?<\/p>\n

Can anyone prove it? Nobody had ever heard of Marjah before or even knew a city was there. Nobody knew it was a Taliban stronghold either.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So because Duff, who was a Lance Corporal S-3 clerk forty years ago, never heard of the city, it never existed. <\/p>\n

The other day, some folks decided they wanted to defend Gordon Duff’s idiot theories and unsourced proclamations. I will consistently call BS on anything Duff writes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
