President Barack Obama, with the Navy’s F\/A-18 Green Hornet, announces today addition measures to boost domestic energy production for the Nation to include strategic efforts by Department of Defense to enhance energy security. The Green Hornet is part of the Navy’s biofuel fuel program to develop alternative fuel sources to reach the Secretary of the Navy’s energy reform targets.<\/p>\n

VX-23 will be testing the full envelope of the Super Hornet with a drop in replacement biofuel made from the camelina plant in an effort to certify alternative fuels for naval aviation use. This appears to be just another boutiquey DOD project that contributes nothing to our national defense capability. Nevertheless, it’s another military prop and Obama’s there. No need to beat a dead horse — just another example of his never ending stagecraft nonsense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
