\nThere was a lot going on in DC yesterday, so I had to park the truck (illegally) and dismount to the Blogger Urban Reconnaissance vehicle to cover all of the evnts. The first place I went was to the Vietnam Wall where I ran into a small group of Gathering of Eagles folks. I rode up to two guys standing there with flags and asked “Where are the hippies”. Turns out that one of those guys was Toothless Dog<\/del> Dawg (who , by the way, is a complete phony – he has all of his teeth. I made him show me.)<\/p>\n

Then I shot over to Lafayette Park. It was just before noon, and I only saw a few hundred people. This is from my wide angle lensof the whole crowd;

Someone on the loud speaker claimed there were thousands “on their way”, but since it was supposed to start at noon, their numbers were pretty anemic. The Washington Post<\/a> reports this morning that there were “thousands” – I didn’t see it.<\/p>\n

I think these are the “Peace Grannies” preparing to regale the crowd with some of their unique octogenarian rap song stylings.<\/p>\n

If you look closely at the pictures, you’ll see that many of the people in the picture are tourists spilling over from the White House;<\/p>\n

The only thing I saw worth bandwidth was this hoola-hoop chic;<\/p>\n
