Over the statutory age of consent (16) by 2 years, no longer a student &#8211; you would think they would be okay, right?\u00a0 Nope.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Unlike other states however, a teacher is still in violation in the state of Nebraska if they engage in intimate relations with a student in the 90 days after they leave or graduate from the school system. <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/nebraska-teacher-facing-29-year-sentence-for-dating-high-school-grad-11897678\">People<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This seems to fall under the &#8220;consenting relationship&#8221; category to me, and the law seems a\u00a0 bit of an overreach. His defense was that he &#8220;cared too much&#8221; and &#8220;to merely have a weapon in the presence of another is not intent&#8221; &#8211; well, when you&#8217;ve setup a little sniper hide when the President is approaching &#8211; yeah, that&#8217;s intent. Allegedly, he spent over $200,000 of campaign cash on child care. Seriously.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A significant portion of those expenses, over $22,000, from his most recent House and gubernatorial campaign filings were for just three months of childcare from October to December 2025. The three payments on his gubernatorial campaign filing for &#8220;childcare&#8221; are made out to his wife, Brittany Swalwell, and total over $6,000.<\/p>\n<p>The FEC filings show that the campaign dished out over $102,000 to an individual named Amanda Barbosa in Dublin, California, between 2021 and 2025, a Fox News Digital review found.<\/p>\n<p>$57,324.40 was paid to Bambini Play &amp; Learn Child Development Center, a Spanish immersion daycare and preschool in Washington, D.C., between 2023 and 2025. The monthly tuition for the child development center is between $2,520 and $3,280, according to Bambini&#8217;s website.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Never seen a nanny written off to the taxpayers before, but in 2022 (note who was HMFIC then!)\u00a0 the Federal Election Commission approved using campaign funds to pay for <em>overnight<\/em> child care if someone was campaigning.\u00a0 Does Bambini do overnight care? not of they close at 6 M-F per their website.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In an interview with Fox News Digital, Allen Mendenhall, a research fellow at the Heritage Foundation\u2019s Thomas A. Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies and a senior advisor at Capital Markets Initiative, said the FEC\u2019s decision is problematic because childcare is an &#8220;inherently personal&#8221; expense.<\/p>\n<p>He believes this &#8220;opens the slippery slope&#8221; for a whole set of costs that could be conceivably justified as campaign expenses, such as clothing, grooming and beyond.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/swalwell-in-the-hot-seat-after-spending-over-200k-in-campaign-cash-on-personal-childcare-slippery-slope\/ar-AA1VBrnt\">Fox<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Didn&#8217;t recall Swalwell campaigning continuously for 4 years, me. The ICE spokeslady even called NOLA a sanctuary city, which ruffled some feathers.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The New Orleans Police Department verified Mr. Temah\u2019s employment eligibility through ICE\u2019s E-Verify system prior to hiring and was never notified of any ICE detainer,&#8221; the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. &#8220;New Orleans is not a sanctuary city, and NOPD does not control jail operations or detainer decisions, which fall under the Sheriff\u2019s Office.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/ice-arrests-new-orleans-police-recruit-deportation-order-who-issued-firearm-department\">Fox News II<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Does this sound familiar?
