Columbus Shooting Leaves 20 Year Old Dead After Self Defense Claim<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nColumbus police have identified 20 year old Kenneth Grace as the man fatally shot inside a northwest side business on Hayden Road. Two people who admitted firing the shots say they acted in self defense during what they claim was an attempted commercial robbery, and detectives are still working to confirm exactly what happened.<\/p>\n

COLUMBUS, OH \u2014 Columbus police say 20 year old Kenneth Grace was shot inside a northwest side business on Hayden Road and later died at a local hospital. Two people who stayed on scene told officers they were the ones who fired and claimed they did so to defend themselves during an attempted commercial robbery.<\/p>\n

According to a Columbus Division of Police media report, officers responded to the 2900 block of Hayden Road after a call about a shooting inside a nearby business. When they arrived, they found Grace unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Columbus Fire medics rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight at 12:08 a.m.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

National Shooting Sports Foundation: Americans Own over 500 Million Firearms<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOn Thursday, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reported that the number of firearms \u201cin civilian possession\u201d topped 500 million by the end of 2023.<\/p>\n

The NSSF gathered information from \u201creports such as ATF Firearms Commerce in the United States, ATF AFMER and Congressional Research Service and including the collective ATF AFMER reports up to the 2023 edition.\u201d<\/p>\n

They noted, \u201cThe estimated total number of firearms in civilian possession from 1990\u20132023 is 506.1 million.\u201d<\/p>\n

On January 12, 2024, Breitbart News pointed to a previous NSSF report showing there were an estimated 473.2 million firearms in U.S. civilian hands by the end of 2021.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
