U.S. President Donald Trump announced Saturday morning that Venezuela\u2019s socialist dictator Nicol\u00e1s Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores have been \u201ccaptured and flown out of the country\u201d, a message that came after a series of explosions hit Caracas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement\u201d, President Trump said in a Truth Social statement. He added that further details would follow at a press conference to be hosted later today at Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n

President Trump\u2019s bulletin comes hours after a series of apparent airstrikes hit several locations across the capital city of Caracas and other regions of Venezuela.
