A lot being reported from Minnesota and Minneapolis (aka”litle Mogadishu”) recently – here are a few highlights for you.<\/p>\n
The biggest sensation is that independent reporter Nick Shirley – ah, heck, for the job he is doing let’s call him a journalist – spent some time running around buildings\u00a0 where recipients of\u00a0 Biden\/Walz funding supposedly have business entities – which are nominally child care centers receiving literally millions of dollars of The documentary follows Shirley and his team as they visit more than 20 addresses listed as licensed childcare centers and healthcare-related providers participating in state-funded assistance programs. Footage shows several locations appearing locked, vacant, or lacking visible signs of active operations during normal business hours.<\/p>\n Shirley claims the facilities shown in the documentary collectively received more than $110 million in public funding in a single year. He bases the figure on publicly available state payment data, which his team cross-referenced with on-site visits conducted during a single day of filming.\u00a0\u00a0Dallas Express<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n $110,000,000 in fraud literally on Walz’ doorstep. He could have been your vice-president, folks.\u00a0 The full 42 minute documentary footage, including when the folks running the centers called the cops on Shirley. No, I am not kidding – and you know the rest of that joke.<\/p>\n And then there is one of your favorite Squad members, Ilhan Omar. A poor lady when she was elected, she and husband Tim Mynett seems to be doing just fine. You hear of an ‘affordability crisis’ in the country: doubt she can even spell it.<\/p>\n According to her latest financial disclosure in May, the couple\u2019s net worth surged 3500% in just one year; their net worth is now anywhere from $6 million to $30 million. The venture capital firm alone, per the filing, is worth between $5 million-$25 million.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Quite frankly, I am a little jealous – if I did that I could be worth hundreds – HUNDREDS, I tell you… But believe it or not, that isn’t the hinky part.<\/p>\n Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is once again under fire \u2014 this time because her husband Tim Mynett\u2019s\u00a0$25 million venture capital firm, Rose Lake Capital, reportedly purged key officer details amid growing questions about the couple\u2019s wealth and Minnesota\u2019s ongoing welfare fraud investigations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n When she took office his firm had $1000 in assets and she was described as “basically broke.” Pretty good recovery, there.<\/p>\n Between September and October, nine officer and advisor details were removed from the site, including former Obama officials, according to the NYP.\u00a0 <\/em>These names include former Obama Ambassador to Bahrain Adam Ereli; former Obama Ambassador to China Max Baucus; DNC Finance Chair associate Alex Hoffman; former DNC treasurer William Derrough and former ex-CEO of Amalgamated Bank Keith Mestrich, per the\u00a0New York Post<\/em>\u2018s findings.\u00a0\u00a0Mediaite<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yeah, honest businesses always scrub board member info.<\/p>\n Quick unrelated note – remember we talked about Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick who was indicted for stealing millions in Covid disaster relief funds? No failed indictment there, she has been charged with theft of government funds (although is still in Congress… you can say what you will about THAT.)<\/p>\n In November, a federal grand jury indicted Cherfilus-McCormick on charges that she stole federal disaster money.<\/p>\n The politician allegedly used a $109,000 cashier\u2019s check to purchase the 3.14-carat yellow diamond ring in New York City in September 2021, according to The Miami New Times<\/em>, which cited the indictment.<\/p>\n The outlet also consulted with a Tiffany & Co. client advisor, who identified the sparkler as two of the luxury jeweler\u2019s rings based on a photo. \u201cThis appears to be the Tiffany Fancy Yellow Single Row Soleste, and the Victoria Band ring,\u201d the advisor told The Miami New Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Guess whose staff decided to do a little Photoshopping of her pic? Check the frame above on the left versus the one on the right, and see what changed.<\/p>\n Cherfilus-McCormick\u2019s chief of staff, Naomie Pierre-Louis, told CBS 12 in a statement after the new photo was released, “This action was not directed, approved or authorized by the Congresswoman.”<\/p>\n “It was a staff-level decision made by well-intentioned individuals seeking to protect the Member\u2019s reputation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Think that ship sailed with the indictments. Note, however, a textbook example of the loyal staffer falling on their sword to protect the politician.
