Let’s turn to\u00a0 Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-CA (where else?)\u00a0 today.<\/p>\n
I’m sure we all know Swallowswell from past gaffes – from threatening the use of nuclear weapons against US citizens:<\/p>\n

Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), who is running for president, criticized people making threats against him over his stance on gun control \u2014 despite Swalwell’s previous implication that the government could nuke gun owners who refused to surrender their firearms.\u00a0\u00a0The Blaze<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they\u2019re legit. I\u2019m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Pretty hard to misinterpret that.<\/p>\n
And then we have his relationship with a Miss Christine Fang, a Chinese agent who raised funds for him, pictured above:<\/p>\n
Fang, also known as \u201cFang Fang,\u201d is a purported honeytrap who entered the US from China as a college student in 2011 and allegedly spent the next four years wooing lawmakers to get close to sensitive government intelligence \u2014 including Swalwell.\u00a0NY Post<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
That one lost him his seat on the House Intelligence Committee, despite the Democrat-led House Ethics Committee having found he didn’t do anything that wrong. Speake Kevin McCarthy said \u201cseverely undermined [the committee\u2019s] primary national security and oversight missions \u2014 ultimately leaving our nation less safe.\u201d NY Post<\/a><\/p>\n
Seems Swalwell has decided his best path to higher office is no longer through Congress, but the California Governor’s mansion (presumably since it would be vacant if now-Gov. Newsom successfully runs for President in ’28.) Well, California would get a record setting candidate. Dead people vote more than he does.<\/p>\n
Both The Sacramento Bee<\/em> and the New York Post<\/em> published reports this week noting Swalwell\u2019s absences, which are the most of any active member of the House. According to data from GovTrack, most legislators miss about 3% of roll call votes, but Swalwell is sitting at 7.7% since joining Congress. Swalwell has missed 95 votes out of 342 roll calls in 2025.<\/p>\n
The Post<\/em> noted that Swalwell has managed to miss more roll call votes this year than late Rep. Ra\u00fal Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who passed away in March. The outlet also noted Swalwell has been doing plenty of \u201cmingling\u201d with celebrities while missing his day job, including missing two House votes on the same day he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s late night show on November 20.<\/p>\n
The lawmaker has missed votes on the National Defense Authorization Act and a bill to nullify an executive order stripping federal workers of collective bargaining rights.Mediaite<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Probably a safe assumption he would stand up for Californians from Sacramento every bit as much as he has in Washington, true? Geez, getting outvoted by a DEAD guy.<\/p>\n
