Navy Sends Sen. Kelly’s ‘Seditious Six’ Report to Pentagon<\/h3>\n

The U.S. Navy has delivered its report on possible punishment for Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., over a video urging troops to refuse “illegal orders,” escalating a high-stakes clash between President Donald Trump’s Pentagon and the group of Democrats his allies branded as the “Seditious Six.”<\/p>\n

The report, ordered by War Secretary Pete Hegseth and completed by the Navy, has been sent to the Pentagon’s Office of General Counsel for legal review, officials said.<\/p>\n

Sen. Kelly is a retired Navy captain, making him uniquely vulnerable to discipline under the Uniform Code of Military Justice even while serving in the Senate.<\/p>\n

Kelly appeared in a 90-second video with Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., and Reps. Jason Crow, D-Colo., Chris Deluzio, D-Pa., Maggie Goodlander, D-N.H., and Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa., telling troops and intelligence officers they can and must refuse unlawful orders.<\/p>\n

The lawmakers did not specify which Trump administration orders they believed might be illegal, a gap critics say invites confusion inside the ranks.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What Chuckles and Crew here failed to mention, besides an actual example of an illegal order issued by anyone, anywhere, that to qualify for refusal the order must be “manifestly” illegal. Federalizing National Guard to patrol city streets supporting law enforcement- legal order. Ordering the shooting of a protester for exercising a Constitutional right is manifestly illegal and should be refused.<\/p>\n

I’ll leave the particulars to our duty legal counsel, but these omissions could have some very real consequences. I also think there will be an example made here, after Milley’s arguably treasonous acts as Chairman JCS and a host of retired officers violating Article 88 *cough*Vindman*cough*
