T. Brookshire Conference Center and vandalized Lakewood Church in Flint.

According to the SCSO, Poole shattered the glass on the front door of Lakewood Church by throwing a concrete lid, similar to a sceptic tank lid, into them. Deputies searched the church but found no one inside, but a church representative arrived at the church and showed them video of the incident happening.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 9:30 p.m. a deputy was conducting an unrelated traffic stop when Poole pulled up on the deputy and exited his vehicle. Poole allegedly approached the deputy and became aggressive with him. The deputy gave Poole several orders to leave the traffic stop or back away but refused. He was subsequently arrested for interfering with public duties and booked into the Smith County Jail.

Friday, after Poole was identified as a suspect in the church vandalism, a warrant was issued for his arrest and crimial mischief was added to his charges.

Poole is also allegedly the man caught on camera tearing down American flags and bending flag poles at the Rotary Club of Tyler’s “Field of Valor” display at the Rose Garden complex.

“It’s more heartbroken with how things are going, and I don’t care which way you’re leaning left or right, it doesn’t matter,” said Justin Murillo, who witnessed and recorded the vandalism. “I served… I’ve folded the flag, I’ve carried the casket, I’ve put brothers to rest.”

According to Tyler Police Department spokesperson Andy Ebaugh, Poole left his driver’s license at the scene.

The Rotary Club estimates it will cost over $2,000 to replace the broken flag poles.

“I don’t know what your intention was to tear the flags down or cause destruction, but it’s not going to stop us from honoring the people we honor and sacrificing,” said Club President Alex Fruth.

Source; KLTV

Woman pleads guilty for falsely accusing ex-wife, a NASA astronaut, of hacking bank account from space

The former wife of a NASA astronaut pleaded guilty on Thursday to lying to law enforcement, according to U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Worden, a former Air Force intelligence officer, said the astronaut had committed identity theft, despite not seeing any indication of moved or spent funds, the New York Times reported.

The case became the first criminal allegation against someone in space.

McClain said from the beginning that there was absolutely no truth to the allegations.

“Summer and I have been going through a painful and personal separation that is now unfortunately playing out in the media. Both parties had accessed it until January 2019 when Worden changed the credentials. The investigation revealed Worden had granted her spouse access to her bank records from at least 2015, including her login credentials.

Worden will be sentenced by a federal judge in Houston in February 2026.

More at the source; KHOU

Zwolle assistant police chief arrested for allegedly staging shooting of patrol unit

Zwolle Assistant Police Chief Christopher Goodman has been arrested for allegedly staging the shooting of his patrol unit, Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell announced.

Goodman, 48, of Many, was arrested after investigators found inconsistencies in his account of a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, Oct. 26.

Goodman initially reported that a vehicle pulled up behind or beside him and began firing at his patrol unit while he was driving on U.S. Highway 171 near Old Pleasant Hill.

Investigators reportedly found inconsistencies in Goodman’s story of the events, along with initial digital and firearm evidence and statements from other individuals that led to probable cause for an arrest warrant.

Goodman was booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center on multiple charges, including malfeasance in office and tampering with evidence, obstruction of justice, criminal damage to property valued between $1,000 and $50,000, and criminal mischief.

No bond has been set.

Goodman remains employed with the Zwolle Police Department but has been placed on leave following his arrest.

Source; KSLA

Fake captain allegedly flew hundreds of plane passengers using forged credentials

It was a sky-high scam.

A co-pilot allegedly forged certificates to qualify himself for a captain position with a Lithuanian airline — and helmed flights carrying hundreds of passengers throughout Europe.

The faux flyer, whose identity was not disclosed, served as a captain for Lithuanian airline Avion Express for an unspecified period of time.
