Kristyne Schaaf-Olson, 42, was caught on police body cam video with her pants down her waist and butt hanging over the edge of a structure containing bushes. These bushes were adjacent to a sidewalk right in front of a series of stores. Schaaf-Olson, then Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore, shifted herself to sitting on the bench, while adjusting her pants. As the police officers questioned her, Jason Olson, Schaaf-Olson’s husband, tried to pull her away from the cops. He ignored several warnings before they detained him.<\/p>\n

Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore Kristyne Schaaf-Olson, 42, was seen scrambling to get out of shrubbery as cops arrived around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 4 in Prescott, according to the video obtained by Fox 10.<\/p>\n

Officers were called by several witnesses who saw the judge urinating in public, the police report said.<\/p>\n

“This is disgusting,” the responding cop told Schaaf-Olson, who was so drunk she couldn’t even spell her own name, but was quick to point out that she was a judge, the affidavit said.<\/p>\n

“This is unacceptable,” the cop told her.<\/p>\n

Schaaf-Olson’s husband, Jason Olson — the parks and recreation manager for the Town of Chino Valley — came over to pull away his wife, repeatedly ignoring the cops’ orders to leave her, the video shows.<\/p>\n

When he asked why she was being questioned, an officer replied, “Because I just saw her puking and urinating, exposing herself to several people.”<\/p>\n

“No, that wasn’t her,” the husband insisted.<\/p>\n

Jason continued trying to lead his wife away despite repeated warnings, the video showed.<\/p>\n

“I’m going to f–king throw you on the ground if you resist,” the officer told him, moments before doing so. “I gave you several chances, and you don’t want to listen.”<\/p>\n

“When an officer is giving you an order, you need to comply and not interfere with the investigation.”<\/p>\n

While he was placed in a police cruiser and hauled away, several other officers arrived.<\/p>\n

“She has her pants completely down. I’m watching her right there, she’s peeing everywhere,” the initial responding officer explained to a fellow cop. “A bunch of people see, I see.”<\/p>\n

“She’s useless. She can’t even spell her name,” he added.<\/p>\n

The judge was issued a citation for urinating or defecating in public. She resigned as Judge Pro Tempore in the Yavapai County Superior Court two days later.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
