Pentagon Slams Netflix\u2019s Gay Teen Marine Series \u2018Boots\u2019 as \u2018Woke Garbage\u2019<\/h3>\n

The Pentagon is calling out streaming giant Netflix over its new military series Boots, which follows the story of a gay man enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1990s.<\/p>\n

The Pentagon accused Netflix of pushing an \u201cideological agenda\u201d with the series, according to the New York Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, the US military is getting back to restoring the warrior ethos. Our standards across the board are elite, uniform, and sex-neutral because the weight of a rucksack or a human being doesn\u2019t care if you\u2019re a man, a woman, gay, or straight,\u201d Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson told the paper.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will not compromise our standards to satisfy an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix whose leadership consistently produces and feeds woke garbage to their audience and children,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

The gay military series debuted on Netflix early this month a week after War Secretary Hegseth unveiled the administration\u2019s new personnel standards.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If anyone is asking why, and who thought this was a great idea, former US Marine Greg Cope White is an executive producer of the thing.\u00a0 Rotten Tomatoes critics love the series, gushing\u00a0 “Miles Heizer’s terrific performance has the right stuff in Boots<\/i>, a likable dramedy that explores masculinity and queerness to powerful effect.”<\/p>\n
