Air Force veteran hit with felony sandwich assault<\/h3>\n

The man at the center of a sandwich-turned-felony encounter in Washington D.C. is as Air Force veteran. Sean Charles Dunn, 37, gained Internet fame but a felony arrest this week after launching a sandwich at a federal immigration enforcement officer in Washington D.C.<\/p>\n

The Pentagon confirmed to Task & Purpose that Dunn was an Air Force staff sergeant, serving as a cyber transport systems specialist from July 2006 to May 2011. Dunn\u2019s last assignment was Spangdahlem Air Base in southwest Germany.<\/p>\n

Dunn was charged with a felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding U.S. federal officers on Wednesday in connection with a Sunday confrontation with a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer. Dunn\u2019s actions \u201cincluded shouted verbal insults\u201d and \u201cforcefully\u201d throwing a \u201cwrapped sandwich,\u201d Department of Justice officials said in a release. He appeared in a federal district court Thursday and was released.<\/p>\n

The confrontation began when he approached CPB officers, pointed a finger in one officer\u2019s face and shouted \u201cF\u2014 you! You f\u2014ing fascists! Why are you here? I don\u2019t want you in my city!\u201d according to the DOJ release.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
