These are the cartels identified as terrorist organizations. The military is reportedly creating plans on how they will carry this order out. The orders previously signed by Trump identified cartels operating within the United States. If these reports are true, then it&#8217;s possible that this order would be applicable to actions within the United States against cartel operations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>From Fox 25:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>President Donald Trump recently signed an order directing the Pentagon to begin using military force against Latin American drug cartels that the administration has deemed a terrorist organization, sources confirmed to The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>The anonymous source said military officials have already started drawing up options for how the military could go after the groups.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after returning to office in January, Trump signed an order designating cartels and other organizations as foreign terrorist organizations and specially designated global terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is the policy of the United States to ensure the total elimination of these organizations&#8217; presence in the United States,&#8221; the order read in part.<\/p>\n<p>Since signing the order, the administration has been specifically targeting Venezuelan and Mexican organizations. The State Department in February designated Tren de Aragua, Mara Salvatrucha, also known as MS-13, and several other organizations as foreign terrorist organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the groups constituted &#8220;a national security threat beyond that posed by traditional organized crime.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Additional Reading:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Altman-Devilbiss, A.
