The Golfer-in-Chief (a much more flattering name than his current nickname) has been in Scotland this week, playing one of his signature golf courses. and apparently striking a tariff agreement along the way. Seems like his usual ratio – a day or so work, followed by a few days golfing. This time, though, despite the tariff deal, Mr. Trump is catching some very well-deserved grief.\u00a0 As M said about Auric Goldfinger, or maybe it was Paul Newman about Robert Shaw: “He cheats.”\u00a0 Trump ball<\/a><\/p>\n President Donald Trump wrapped up a five-day trip to Scotland on Tuesday, July 29 by attending a ribbon cutting at Trump International Golf Links near Aberdeen. His trip included hosting European leaders at his Turnberry property and Scottish National Party leader John Swinney at the Balmedie course’s grand opening. He plans to arrive back at the White House Tuesday evening, July 29.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n President Donald Trump may visit Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster this weekend, Friday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 3. A Safety Team Alert posted by the Federal Aviation Administration, which is an early notification that Air Force One will be on the move, shows Trump’s arrival in Allentown, Pennsylvania and Bedminster beginning Aug. 1.\u00a0USA Today<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n But to the meat of it: \u00a0 Trump ball\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n In the video as Trump walks toward the bunker in the rough, his caddie very obviously tosses a ball backwards for Trump to hit and he lines up on it. The video cuts off before he hits it, but no exculpatory evidence has surfaced to indicate that the caddie did nothing less than blatantly bettering Trump’s lie and that Trump went along with it.<\/p>\n Any golfers out there? I’m a bit rusty but I seem to remember that improving your lie illegally should get you a penalty. Two strokes?<\/p>\n It matters not that Trump’s caddie did it – he didn’t question it. Your caddie makes an error or cheats – YOU own it. Major tournaments are lost every year when a leading player self-outs an error and takes a penalty….but that’s golf<\/em>. You may love the game, you may think like Mr. Clemens that “it is a good walk wasted” – but integrity is supposed to be the cornerstone of the game.<\/p>\n The old phrase is that “integrity is what you do when no one is watching.” In this case, multiple cameras were watching, and Mr. Trump acquired a new nickname, the “Commander in Cheat.”<\/p>\n Continuing on the above theme – take a look at his schedule. 5 days in Scotland (at least three of them golfing) back late the 29th, presumably working the 30th, and then another three days golfing. I make that 1-3 days of work in a 9 day period. At least he has a nice new golf cart to run around in.<\/p>\n This vehicle was made by the Polaris corporation but modified by someone else, a Polaris company spokesperson confirmed to The War Zone<\/em>.<\/p>\n According to the Government Services Administration (GSA) website, a Chicago company called Scaletta Armoring makes an \u201cadd-on armor kit to Polaris XP 1000 Ranger UTV with protection scalable to mission.\u201d The kit has a unit price of nearly $190,000.<\/p>\n The GSA site includes a photo, which you can see below, of a Polaris Ranger X UTV very similar to the one seen in Scotland. We reached out to Scaletta Armoring for more details.The War Zone<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Scaletta declined to answer without getting clearance from the Secret Service – gee, ya think they made it?<\/p>\n I read where Trump’s golf cost the US $150,000,000 in his first term, has already cost over $25-40,000,000 this term, and here’s a little $190,000 fillip.
