Dramatic video shows man shooting at attackers following Bronx dispute<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA man embroiled in a dispute and attacked by two other men pulled out a gun and wildly opened fire at the pair in a bloody confrontation Monday in the Bronx, police said.<\/p>\n

In a stunning video obtained by the Daily News, two men are seen grabbing and kicking a third male around 12:59 p.m. near Commonwealth and Westchester Aves. in Soundview.<\/p>\n

The jaw-dropping video shows that during the confrontation, the gunman \u2014 dressed in a hoodie \u2014 is held in a rear waist lock by his attacker while another man man appears to be filming the assault on a cell phone. The gunman then suddenly pulls out a gun and fires a shot over his shoulder, striking one of the assailants, and runs off before firing yet another shot at the other attacker.<\/p>\n

According to cops, a 27-year-old man was unresponsive and unconscious with a gunshot wound to the torso when police responded. EMS rushed the man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The victim’s trick shooting skills are impressive, in that he didn’t shoot himself in the process.<\/p>\n

Update: KCSO said burglary attempt led to shooting on Montview<\/strong><\/p>\n

An apparently burglary attempt ended with the suspect being shot by a homeowner on the 300 block of Montview Avenue early Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Deputies were called to the house at 5:55 a.m. for a report of a burglary in progress and found the suspect suffering from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

The suspect, identified as Felix Villasenor Cortez, 36 was airlifted to Kern Medical.<\/p>\n

He remained in the intensive care unit on Tuesday but is expected to survive his wounds, the Kern County Sheriff said.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived a the house, they were told the homeowner and confronted Cortez in the backyard of his residence, and during the encounter, Cortez “allegedly charged the homeowner while holding an unknown object,” the KCSO said.<\/p>\n

The homeowner then shot the suspect, the KCSO said.<\/p>\n

Cortez was absentee-booked into Kern County jail on a charge of first degree burglary and on a misdemeanor warrant.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot, killed after attempting to assault a woman in her North Texas home, police say<\/strong>
\nAccording to police, the man and woman were previously in a relationship.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nGRAND PRAIRIE, Texas \u2014 A man is dead after being shot by the woman he was assaulting, police say.<\/p>\n

According to the Grand Prairie Police Department, the man arrived at the home of a woman with whom he had previously been in a relationship early Sunday morning. Police say the man forced his way into the home and began to assault the woman.<\/p>\n

During the assault, GPD says the woman was able to grab a handgun and shoot the man. When officers responded to the home in the 1800 block of Avenue E, just west of Mountain Creek Lake, they found the man shot. He was later pronounced dead by the Grand Prairie Fire Department, police say.<\/p>\n

The department said the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she is expected to recover from her injuries.<\/p>\n

Grand Prairie PD said the case is being investigated as a self-defense shooting and will be reviewed by the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
