30-year-old dies in shooting after trespassing dispute in Sullivan County<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSHELBURN, Ind. (WISH) \u2014 A 30-year-old man died early Thursday in a shooting that followed a confrontation between him and a property owner in Sullivan County, Indiana State Police said in a news release issued Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Ryan Gehring, of Prairieton, had been taken to a nearby hospital before a helicopter flew him to an Indianapolis hospital, where he died.<\/p>\n

Investigators learned the shooting happened about 1 a.m. Thursday. The release was unclear on the location, calling it as \u201c800 North block of Shelburn.\u201d<\/p>\n

The release said, \u201cGehring was trespassing on private property and was told numerous times by the property owner to leave. A physical altercation occurred between the property owner and Gehring, resulting in Gehring being shot.\u201d
