Homeowner shoots at burglar in Hallandale Beach; subject in custody<\/strong><\/p>\n

HALLANDALE BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A homeowner in Hallandale Beach turned the tables on a burglar, leading to shots fired and an arrest, police said.<\/p>\n

Hallandale Beach Police units responded to reports of an attempted burglary near Southwest Seventh Terrace and First Street, at around 8:20 a.m. on Friday.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, officers determined that the homeowner armed themselves and shot at the subject, who was not hit.<\/p>\n

Officers located and apprehended the subject.<\/p>\n

Detectives said they questioned the man in custody in connection to multiple suspected burglaries in the Southwest quadrant of Hallandale Beach.<\/p>\n

No one was hurt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot dead after stabbing woman, assaulting man during family dispute in San Bernardino Co.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA family dispute ended with a woman being stabbed, a man being assaulted and the alleged suspect being shot to death, police in San Bernardino County say.<\/p>\n

The Rialto Police Department released information on the incident indicating that it occurred just before 1:15 p.m. on Friday in the 300 block of North Spruce Avenue.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived at the home, they found that multiple family members had been injured in an altercation between family members, including one woman who was stabbed.<\/p>\n

She was hospitalized and eventually released, per Rialto police.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe investigation revealed that the [alleged suspect] had physically assaulted an adult male family member and had stabbed an adult and an adult female family member,\u201d RPD said in a public alert. \u201cThe [alleged suspect] had also attempted to stab an adult female family member when an involved party discharged a firearm, striking the decedent and preventing any further injuries to family members.\u201d<\/p>\n

The alleged suspect, only identified as a 29-year-old Rialto resident, was pronounced dead at a local trauma center less than an hour after the call first came out. The person who fired the gun, a 40-year-old Rialto resident, is cooperating with the investigation; he was not arrested.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
