He enlisted in 1988, went AWOL in 1989, turned himself in and was discharged in 1997. His estranged wife who had a restraining order against him said he never laid a hand on her. He had some semi-auto weapons that scared the Jersey media (like that&#8217;s hard). One weapon was called a &#8220;possible grenade launcher&#8221; &#8211; but judging by the media&#8217;s past performance, it could have been two waste bins taped together. He was wearing a bulletproof vest.<\/p>\n<p>Curious.
