South Carolina man arrested in connection with multiple shootings, home invasion<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nDeputies in Darlington County, South Carolina, say a man has been arrested after multiple shootings and a burglary on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Deputies with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office say they were called to a local hospital in reference to an individual with a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, deputies responded to a call in reference to a shooting on Martin Luther King Boulevard in the Hartsville area of Darlington County. The scene was secured.<\/p>\n

Deputies say they discovered that both incidents were connected.<\/p>\n

A search warrant was executed at the home, which revealed that a shooting took place inside of the home on Martin Luther King Boulevard as a result of a home invasion.<\/p>\n

The individual with the gunshot wound is believed to be one of the intruders in this incident, deputies say.<\/p>\n

As a result, Tyquan Edwards was reportedly arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and breach of peace high & aggravated. Deputies say more charges may follow.<\/p>\n

Edwards is currently being held in the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center awaiting his bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe officer has been with Jeffersontown Police Department for two years. He previously served with LMPD.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nJEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. \u2014 Kentucky State Police is investigating after an off-duty police officer shot and killed a man Tuesday morning in a Jeffersontown neighborhood.<\/p>\n

At about 11:25 a.m., residents in the area of 10000 Robsion Road called police, reporting a man who was knocking on doors and windows and “acting strange,” according to Jeffersontown Police Chief Rick Sanders.<\/p>\n

An off-duty officer with Jeffersontown PD was notified by someone at the scene of the incident, not by the department, the chief said.<\/p>\n

According to J-Town PD, the officer shot and killed the man who was knocking on windows. It is currently unknown if the man was armed.<\/p>\n

The Jefferson County coroner’s office later identified the man as 43-year-old Marco Dorsey.<\/p>\n

The department isn’t releasing the identity of the man who was killed or the officer.<\/p>\n

Chief Sanders said the officer has been with J-Town PD for two years and previously served with Louisville Metro Police Department.<\/p>\n

Since the officer was off-duty, there will be no bodycam footage. However, Chief Sanders seemed confident that surveillance video will help piece the story together.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
