Chattanooga teen gets shot by man he attempted to rob<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old male in relation to a robbery in the 4800 block of Swan Road on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

On May 8 at 5:15 p.m., CPD responded to a person shot call in the 4800 block of Swan Road.<\/p>\n

When the officers arrived they found the 17-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.<\/p>\n

Police say the preliminary investigation shows the robbery victim, a 30-year-old man, met an unknown person to purchase two items.<\/p>\n

During the purchase, a suspect put a gun to the victim\u2019s face and made a demand, tp which the victim quickly exited his vehicle.<\/p>\n

A second suspect, the 17-year-old male, then got into the driver seat.
\nDuring the incident, the robbery victim and one of the suspects exchanged gunfire.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old was struck during the gunfire, and has been arrested and charged with Carjacking and Attempted Murder

\nHe was transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Littlefield Police say Wednesday night shooting was self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLITTLEFIELD, Texas (KCBD) – Littlefield Police now believe a shooting that happened late Wednesday night was self-defense.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 700 block of East Waylon Jennings Blvd just before 11 p.m.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by Littlefield EMS, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

A man approached the officers during the investigation and said he was the one who fired the shot.<\/p>\n

Police say witness statements and surveillance footage supported the claim of self-defense, showing that the shot was fired after \u201can unprovoked physical assault\u201d that the shooter tried to avoid.<\/p>\n

Police say the investigation currently supports the finding of self-defense and the investigation will continue to see if the injured person will face criminal charges related to the assault.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a deadly shooting at a motel along the East Freeway on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Houston Police Department said a man in his 20s, who was loitering, was shot and killed at the Red Roof Inn, not far from Centerwood.<\/p>\n

HPD said witnesses reported that an argument broke out and then gunfire erupted around 1:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Police said officers have a man in his 50s or 60s detained for questioning right now, who is claiming self-defense.<\/p>\n

Authorities initially told Eyewitness News that they believed the case would go to a grand jury, but now they are waiting to see what charges may be filed as they continue to investigate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
