Father shoots at man accused of breaking into Seattle apartment complex<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Seattle Police Department says a protective father shot at a man who broke into his apartment building.<\/p>\n

Around 1:00 a.m. Friday, several people called 911 after they heard gunshots at the building on 21st Avenue.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived and found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound on his upper leg. While treating him, police identified him as a possible suspect for a series of attempted burglaries inside the building.<\/p>\n

Police spoke with a man who lives on the third floor with his wife and child about what happened.<\/p>\n

The father told officers that the man broke through the exterior door and tried to break into several apartments, yelling and kicking things, before reaching their door.<\/p>\n

The man said he gave several warnings that he was armed before firing one shot through the door, which, according to officers, hit the other man in the leg.<\/p>\n

Medics transported the suspect to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested him for burglary.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man Shot Early Sunday Morning In Beulah<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Escambia County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating an early Sunday morning shooting in Beulah.<\/p>\n

It happened just around 1:05 a.m. in the 9600 block of Rebel Road, just north of Nine Mile Road and Beulah Middle School.<\/p>\n

Daniel Michael Sonier, 35, was charged with felony battery on a person 65 years of age or older and felony criminal mischief with property damage.<\/p>\n

Deputies said Sonier was attacking an elderly couple when he was shot by the male in self-defense. The victims and Sonier were known to one another, and the incident is being investigated as a domestic violence incident.<\/p>\n

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was booked into custody remotely from the hospital about 6:20 a.m. He is being held without bond.<\/p>\n

The elderly couple was not injured. Sonier\u2019s relationship with the elderly couple has not been detailed by the Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Teen shoots man during domestic dispute in Kenwood<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHICAGO – A 14-year-old boy shot a man during a domestic dispute late Thursday night in the Kenwood neighborhood, according to Chicago police.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a service call around 11:02 p.m. in the 4800 block of South Drexel Boulevard. Police said a 33-year-old woman was involved in a domestic dispute with a 33-year-old man when the man pulled a knife on her. At that point, the 14-year-old male produced a handgun and shot the man in the shoulder.<\/p>\n

The man was treated by Chicago Fire Department paramedics and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Police said they are speaking with a person of interest, and Area One detectives are continuing to investigate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
