Ruger 44<\/a><\/p>\n UPDATED: Nest camera captures sounds of state trooper scuffle, shooting in Fairfax<\/strong><\/p>\n State police say charges are pending against a 16-year-old boy shot during a scuffle with a Virginia State Police trooper early Tuesday morning in Fairfax city.<\/p>\n At 12:43 a.m., state police learned of a “suspect vehicle” that fled from Fairfax city police during a traffic stop in the area of Burke Station Road and Main Street, Virginia State Police spokesperson Matthew Demlein said in a release.<\/p>\n The trooper responded to the address tied to the vehicle’s registration in the 9600 block of Maury Road, along with two Fairfax County K-9 units. While at the home, the officers saw a teenage boy near the vehicle and gave commands to stop, Demlein said. The juvenile instead took off on foot.<\/p>\n The trooper then tackled the teen and during the struggle, one shot was fired, according to Demlein.<\/p>\n The juvenile, a “known gang associate,” was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is being investigated for unauthorized use of a vehicle, and has been served outstanding warrants, Demlein said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
