Henry County Sheriff says homeowner shot intruder in face<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nHENRY COUNTY, Ind. \u2014 An alleged home invader was flown by helicopter to a hospital after being shot in the face by a homeowner earlier Friday.<\/p>\n

According to the Henry County Sheriff\u2019s Department, the intruder survived being shot and is currently listed as being in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n

A little before 2 a.m., deputies were called to a home in the 9300 block of South 175 East after a homeowner called 911. The homeowner said a suspicious male was banging on his windows and doors and trying to gain entry to the house.<\/p>\n

The suspect allegedly busted out a window and attempted to crawl into the residence but was met with the barrel of a gun. The sheriff\u2019s department said the homeowner shot the intruder in the face and the suspect was found lying on the porch when deputies arrived on scene.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man charged with burglary after Boone County shooting<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBOONE COUNTY, WV (WOWK) \u2013 A man is facing charges after he was allegedly shot after \u2018forcefully\u2019 entering a Boone County home.<\/p>\n

According to the Boone County Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies were called to Hurricane Branch Road in the Manila area around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in regard to a shooting. Deputies say they met with the caller on scene, who told them he had shot an acquaintance after the two got into an altercation when the man allegedly forcefully entered his home.<\/p>\n

Deputies say shortly after speaking with the caller, they found the man at his own home. The man, identified as 43-year-old Billy Wheatley, had been shot and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Boone County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Deputies say he has since been treated and released into BCSO custody. The sheriff\u2019s office says he has been charged with burglary and taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Polk deputy shoots, kills knife-wielding man: PCSO<\/strong><\/p>\n

POLK COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 A Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputy shot and killed a man on Friday after he allegedly threatened the law enforcement officer with a knife, authorities said.<\/p>\n

John Snyder, 37, a transient, was the man shot and killed, according to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.<\/p>\n

Snyder, who was wanted for outstanding warrant of burglary and theft, had run from Polk deputies on Tuesday, Judd said.<\/p>\n

Deputies found him again on Friday at about 11:30 p.m. in front of a McDonald’s restaurant on North Combee Road in Lakeland.<\/p>\n

A deputy attempted to take Snyder into custody by using a Taser gun. He resisted, pushed the deputy off and started to run, Judd said. Other deputies arrived after being called for assistance.<\/p>\n

Snyder then pulled a knife, Judd said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
