I suspect she thinks of the House as a relatively low-stress job, as she has only introduced a whopping 5 bills in 41 years. (Ironically, the same number as of bills Trump has signed in his first 100 days, a new record low. ) Her margin of re-election was less than 1% and she is seen as vulnerable. Enter today’s first subject: Alea Nadeen, a Toledo native, a Republican, of Iraqi descent – and a Air National Guard commander and intelligence officer. Perhaps some of you may know the good lieutenant colonel?

Nadeem serves as the commander of the 150th Security Forces Squadron at the 150th Special Operations Wing, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Before joining the Special Operations Wing, Nadeem was a congressional budget and appropriations liaison to the Senate Appropriations Committee, assigned to the Secretary of the Air Force, Financial Management and Comptroller at the Pentagon. She previously served as a policy advisor on the National Security Council policy advisor, working in the Executive Office of the President at the White House. Air Force Academy News

One hopes after all the anti-DEI stuff her info is still available. Interesting background, which rings a bell: her father took her from her mother to Iraq when she was 8 and it took 4 years to get her back here. She enlisted after 9/11 as soon as she graduated high school, did her 20, and left active duty a year and a half ago.

Zachary Young, who successfully took CNN to the legal woodshed over their defamatory coverage at Kabul, is looking to increase his body count. Now, maybe not.

“The House and Senate should push hard for more Daylight at the end of a day,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Very popular and, most importantly, no more changing of the clocks, a big inconvenience and, for our government, A VERY COSTLY EVENT!!!”

Interestingly, leisure providers like golf courses are in favor of permanent DST as they perceive better operating hours are in the offing. Now, companies such as Chevron (CVX), BP (BP), and other oil companies are offshoring more specialized white-collar positions and related work to lower-cost labor pools in countries such as India, while cutting jobs elsewhere.
