Fatal Shooting in Gardena Strip Mall<\/strong><\/p>\n

One person was fatally shot by police and another person was injured at the end of a pursuit in a Gardena strip mall.<\/p>\n

The shooting involving officers from the Gardena Police Department was reported at 1:40 a.m. in a strip mall parking lot at the intersection of Rosecrans and Van Ness avenues.<\/p>\n

The suspects, both women, led police on a short vehicle pursuit that ended in the parking lot, where Gardena police officers did a PIT maneuver and stopped the suspects\u2019 vehicle, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n

A short standoff ensued, during which the driver allegedly produced a firearm, prompting police to open fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and no officers were injured.<\/p>\n

The condition of the second woman was not immediately known.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police: Stolen U-Haul suspect rams officers, shot by police in Clay County<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) \u2013 An Indiana State Police trooper and a suspect were injured in a police-involved shooting Tuesday evening in Clay County.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, a Clay County officer spotted a stolen U-Haul truck at a gas station. The vehicle had been reported stolen three days earlier in Terre Haute.<\/p>\n

When police approached, the driver took off, leading officers on a brief chase. About a half-mile into the pursuit, a female passenger jumped out of the truck and was taken into custody.<\/p>\n

The chase continued until the driver turned onto a private drive, then turned the truck around so it was facing officers, according to police.<\/p>\n

That prompted a 90-minute standoff involving the Terre Haute Police Department\u2019s Special Response Team, Indiana State Police, and Clay County deputies.<\/p>\n

Police say the suspect then drove the truck toward officers, ramming multiple vehicles. An Indiana State Police trooper was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Officers opened fire, striking the suspect. He was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital. His condition has not been released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
