3 alleged Tesla attackers could face up to 20 years for Molotov cocktails<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThree individuals are facing “serious charges” for allegedly using Molotov cocktails to set Tesla cars and charging stations on fire, the Justice Department announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,\u201d Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement. \u201cLet this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Justice Department announced the charges in a Thursday press release that didn’t include the defendants’ names, but spokesperson Wyn Hornbuckle confirmed the defendants are Adam Matthew Lansky, Lucy Grace Nelson, and Daniel Brendan Kurt Clarke-Pounder. The press release said each of them “faces serious charges carrying a minimum penalty of five years and up to 20 years in prison.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Suspect shot during attempted robbery in Midtown: MPD<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMEMPHIS, Tenn. \u2014 One person is in critical condition after an attempted robbery led to a shooting early Tuesday morning in Midtown, according to Memphis Police.<\/p>\n

The MPD responded to a shooting in the area of 31 South McLean Boulevard at around 5:45 a.m. A man on the scene told police that someone tried to rob him when he got home.<\/p>\n

Police say the man pulled out a gun and he and the suspect began to physically fight. The man then shot the suspect, who was taken to Regional One in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old man accused of shooting the robber was detained along with one other person.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2 injured after car theft, shootout in North Memphis<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMEMPHIS, Tenn. \u2014 Two people were left injured after a car theft turned into a shootout Wednesday night in North Memphis, police say.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Delmar Avenue around 10 p.m. regarding an aggravated assault involving firearms discharged. A male victim suffering from gunshot wounds was found lying on the porch in the 200 block of Decatur Street screaming for help.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the man went to the home and collapsed at the front door. The woman who lives there says she does not know the man.<\/p>\n

WREG crews also spotted crime scene vans on the scene.<\/p>\n

It all started when a man went to his girlfriend\u2019s house. He says his car was running while he was standing outside. That is when an unknown suspect is accused of getting into his car and driving away.<\/p>\n

According to reports, when the man began to chase his vehicle, the suspect fired shots at him. The victim allegedly returned gunfire, striking the suspect several times. A home on Delmar Avenue was also hit by gunfire, but the victims inside were not injured.<\/p>\n

The suspect then wrecked the vehicle before coming to a stop. He was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Police say another person arrived at Regional One Hospital with a gunshot wound to their ankle but said he was unsure where he was when he got shot. MPD says they are unsure if he had any involvement with the shooting call on Delmar Avenue.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
