Woman shoots boyfriend in apparent self-defense during Chesterfield domestic incident<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nCHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) \u2014 A woman shot her boyfriend in what police say appears to be self-defense during a domestic incident in Chesterfield County early Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Just after 1 a.m. on Monday, March 10, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 6100 block of Heybridge Court in response to a 911 call.<\/p>\n

According to police, the caller \u2014 an unidentified woman \u2014 told dispatchers that she shot her boyfriend because he had assaulted and strangled her.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found both the woman and her boyfriend, who police identified as 46-year-old Adryan Whitted, with injuries not considered life-threatening. Whitted had been shot. Both of them were taken to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Following an investigation, Whitted was charged with strangulation and domestic assault. He remains at the hospital in police custody.<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigators consulted with the Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney\u2019s Office and, based on the evidence available at the time, the shooting was determined to be in self-defense,\u201d police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

West LA dispensary burglary suspect shot and killed by security guard<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLOS ANGELES – A burglary suspect who was shot by a security guard after he crashed his car into a West LA weed dispensary Monday morning has died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

A possible second suspect is on the run.<\/p>\n

What we know:
\nThe shooting was reported at 3:12 a.m. at ERBA Markets’ West LA dispensary on Pico Boulevard and Centinela Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n

According to Det. Samuel Marullo with LAPD’s West Bureau Homicide division, the security guard, who was employed by the dispensary, was working inside the business when the suspect deliberately drove his vehicle through the entrance inside the store.<\/p>\n

A preliminary investigation revealed the security guard saw the driver, wearing a ski mask, and believed a robbery was about to occur. That’s when he shot at the suspect, striking him at least one time before officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

A witness reported seeing a second male suspect running from the scene following the shooting. He possibly dropped evidence, authorities said.<\/p>\n

At this time the security guard is not facing charges.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
