(WDHN) \u2014 An investigation is underway into an officer-involved shooting on Sunday in Covington County.<\/p>\n<p>Officers say that on Sunday morning, dispatch received multiple \u201c911 hang-ups\u201d from Chad Sheehan, a man police say has a history of domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>A deputy went to the home on County Road 21 in Red Level for a welfare check, and police say he noticed the lights in the house were on, and as he approached, a vehicle rammed through a gate, charging the officer.<\/p>\n<p>Police say Sheehan, who didn\u2019t live at the home, exited the vehicle with a firearm and charged at the officer.
