\nSheriff Ed Gonzalez said a family was having a birthday party when a neighbor started an argument with multiple partygoers.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nHARRIS COUNTY, Texas \u2014 Two people were hurt after gunfire erupted Saturday night at a family birthday party at a home in northeast Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.<\/p>\n

This happened at a home on Bradfield Manor Drive near Timber Forest in the Atascocita area.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez said a family was having a birthday party when a neighbor started an argument with multiple partygoers. At some point, he pulled out a gun and shot at people standing in the driveway, according to the sheriff.<\/p>\n

The homeowner was hit in the shooting and several people returned fire, hitting the neighbor as well.<\/p>\n

Both the neighbor and the homeowner were taken to area hospitals. Gonzalez said they’re both expected to survive.<\/p>\n

The neighbor faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of tampering with evidence.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

KSP investigating home invasion that left 2 people dead in Clay County<\/strong><\/p>\n

MANCHESTER, Ky. (LEX 18) \u2014 Kentucky State Police Trooper Scottie Pennington reports that an investigation is underway after a home invasion in Clay County.<\/p>\n

According to KSP, 44-year-old Roger D. Smith of McKee and 51-year-old Jeffery M. Allen of Manchester are dead following the incident.<\/p>\n

KSP reports that Saturday, around 4:30 p.m., Clay County 911 contacted KSP Post 11 in London, reporting a shooting incident in Manchester.<\/p>\n

The Manchester Police Department responded to the scene and found two people who had been shot.<\/p>\n

According to KSP, two men had been involved in an incident where they’d “forcibly entered a home with the intention of stealing firearms from a safe.”<\/p>\n

KSP says during the break-in, a juvenile, who was a resident of the home, “found the intruders and saw them holding the firearms.”<\/p>\n

According to KSP, the juvenile acted in self-defense, got a handgun, and shot both of the intruders before escaping through the bedroom window.<\/p>\n

KSP says that Smith was taken to Advent Health Manchester by Clay County EMS but died from his injuries, and Allen was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County coroner.<\/p>\n

This is an ongoing investigation by KSP, and they say that both bodies will be sent to the Medical Examiner for an autopsy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
