Chicago concealed carry holder wounds gunman in South Shore<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHICAGO – A concealed carry holder shot a gunman during a confrontation Monday night in the South Shore neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old CCL holder was standing outside around 9 p.m. when he got into an argument with someone who was inside a vehicle in the 7200 block of South South Drive, police said.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old noticed the person in the car holding a handgun, drew his own gun and fired, striking the suspect once in the chest, police said.<\/p>\n

The suspect took himself to Jackson Park Hospital where he was listed in fair condition. Officers went to the hospital and placed the suspect into custody. Police said charges are pending.<\/p>\n

Police said a weapon was recovered at the scene of the shooting. Area One detectives are investigating.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1570 South Dairy Ashford Road<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fatal shooting of a robbery suspect at 1570 South Dairy Ashford Road about 5:10 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 20) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.<\/p>\n

The identity of the male suspect, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.<\/p>\n

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Burrow and R. Watson reported:<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a shooting call at the business at the above address and observed a male with apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

Evidence indicates the male and another male attempted to commit an armed robbery of the business, which resulted in a shootout with employees. One male was shot and the other fled on foot. None of the employees was injured.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 One person was killed and another was critically injured early Tuesday morning in a shooting that occurred outside a strip club in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.<\/p>\n

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies responded to the parking lot of Club Climaxx, located at 12001 NW 27th Ave., at about 2:11 a.m. after receiving reports about a shooting.<\/p>\n

Deputies said they arrived and found two men who had been shot.<\/p>\n

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced one of the men dead at the scene. The other person was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital\u2019s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe preliminary information indicates the decedent provoked a physical altercation with the victim, and there was an exchange of gunfire,\u201d an MDSO spokesperson said in an email to Local 10 News. \u201cThe victim is out of surgery and in stable condition.\u201d<\/p>\n

An employee at a nearby business named John told Local 10 News that this isn\u2019t the first time the adult entertainment club has turned into a crime scene.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
