He knows that while everyone has a gun, there can be only one at the top. Del Toro has given one of the service&#8217;s highest civilian honors to Tom Cruise. Maverick has gotten the Distinguished Public Service medal reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2024\/12\/17\/top-gun-u-s-navy-awards-tom-cruise-highest-civilian-honor-for-boosting-military-in-his-movies\/\">Breitbart<\/a>. He&#8217;s gotten this for his support of the Navy, as Tom Cruise is about 85% of the reason anyone enlists into the Navy. He supplanted the Village People in the role of citizen naval recruiter. Curiously, the Village People have, to the best of my knowledge, never received any similar (or lesser) award for their boosting of recruiting into the nation&#8217;s sea service.<\/p>\n<p>We gave AW1Ed the option of posting this himself, but for some reason he didn&#8217;t want to.
