Officer uses child\u2019s bicycle while chasing down felony suspect<\/strong><\/p>\n

LONE TREE, Colo. (Gray News) \u2013 Even though a Colorado police officer was not near his squad car, he still managed to help chase down a fleeing theft suspect with a little help.<\/p>\n

The police officer used a child\u2019s bicycle to pursue the suspected felon.<\/p>\n

The Lone Tree Police Department said Officer Jacob Tarr was trying to arrest the suspect who took off running after committing a felony theft.<\/p>\n

The suspect jumped several fences and stole a motorized scooter while Tarr was in pursuit.<\/p>\n

To keep up with the fleeing suspect, the department said Tarr \u201ccommandeered a kid\u2019s bike to continue the pursuit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect might\u2018ve had a scooter, but Officer Tarr had determination, and a kid\u2019s bike,\u201d Lone Tree police shared on social media.<\/p>\n

Tarr and other officers eventually caught the suspect and charged him with felony theft. It was also later discovered that the suspect had three additional outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n

Police booked the suspect into the Douglas County Justice Center.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man killed by woman in what police believe was self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

LITHONIA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – One person was fatally shot in a DeKalb County neighborhood in what police believe was an act of self-defense.<\/p>\n

The investigation centered on a home on Hallwood Court in Lithonia. Crime scene tape blocked the road for several hours.<\/p>\n

DeKalb police say the victim is a man in his 30s and the deadly shooting is the result of a dispute.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter further investigation, it was determined that the suspect came to the location and threatened the victim with a weapon,\u201d police said in a statement. \u201cThe victim then shot the suspect in self-defense.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
