Second Street in Dayton. Several officers with the Dayton Police Department responded to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Police on scene told 2 NEWS that the incident began when a group of five suspects attempted to break into a home on Second Street. The suspects fired shots into the home upon entry.<\/p>\n<p>A male homeowner was at home at the time, and reportedly returned fire, striking one of the intruders. That individual was hospitalized for their injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Police say they arrested all five suspects. (WFLA) \u2014 An armed suspect is dead after he broke into a home in Ruskin, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>In the early hours on Sunday, around 12:24 a.m., officials received a call that someone had broken into a home in the 3000 block of Double D Ranch Trail.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies arrived the find the suspect already dead with multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators discovered that the homeowner\u2019s adult son shot the suspect after he broke in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImagine the fear of being awoken in the middle of the night to a stranger invading your home,\u201d Sheriff Chad Chronister said. \u201cThis is every homeowner\u2019s greatest fear, a dangerous and brazen individual breaking in, showing a complete disregard for the safety and security of others.
