Three workers at a Delaware elementary school were arrested after authorities allege they abused children with special needs.<\/p>\n

Makayla Lomax, 31, Marrisa Johnson, 26, and Morgan Donahue, 21, are all charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to a press release shared by the Smyrna Police Department in early November. Lomax also faces charges of third-degree child abuse and offensive touching.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if the suspects have entered pleas or retained attorneys to speak on their behalf.<\/p>\n

An investigation that began in February showed that employees working in an elementary school classroom for students with special needs within the Smyrna School District would allegedly \u201cthrow objects at the students, yell at them, and call them names,\u201d per the release.<\/p>\n

According to police, Johnson and Donahue are accused of feeding Takis with hot sauce to a student with special needs in late 2022 knowing the child had a digestive disability.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Lomax allegedly hit a student in the face and sprayed the victim with a water bottle as a \u201cform of discipline,\u201d police said. Authorities have not released further details regarding the investigation.<\/p>\n

The Smyrna School District released a statement on Nov. 6 following the announcement of the arrests, saying the district was cooperative with law enforcement throughout the investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe relevant employees have not been in the presence of our students since the district was made aware of the alleged wrongdoing,\u201d the statement read, in part.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost individuals alleged to be involved no longer work for the District,\u201d it continued. \u201cWith regard to the remaining employees, the District will honor employee privacy rights with regard to separation of employment, and we will make our reports to the Department of Education\u2019s Division of Licensure and Certification.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The chase took a tragic turn when Tucker lost control of the Ram TRX and collided with a tree on Bolton Road. The crash\u2019s impact was severe, tearing apart the truck and rendering it inoperable. The officer on the scene found Tucker still strapped into his seat, with significant injuries visible. Emergency services were immediately called, but he was pronounced dead at the crash site.<\/p>\n

A woman in Australia became stuck upside down between a pair of boulders for seven hours after falling into a crevice while trying to retrieve her dropped phone.<\/p>\n

Photos released by New South Wales Ambulance show the woman\u2019s feet sticking out between the rocks as first responders came to her rescue.<\/p>\n

“In my 10 years as a rescue paramedic I had never encountered a job quite like this, it was challenging but incredibly rewarding,” the agency quoted first responder Peter Watts as saying.<\/p>\n

NSW Ambulance said the woman got herself trapped in the Hunter Valley “after slipping into a 3-meter [9-foot] crevice, wedged between two boulders while trying to retrieve her phone.”<\/p>\n

Officials were called to the scene after the woman\u2019s friends dialed an emergency telephone number following several failed attempts to save her themselves.<\/p>\n

Crews that arrived managed to free the woman through a tight “S” bend over the span of an hour and moved an 1,100-pound boulder in the process, according to NSW Ambulance.<\/p>\n

“The patient was safely freed seven hours after her ordeal began with only minor scratches and bruises,” NSW Ambulance said.<\/p>\n

Watts said “we all worked incredibly well together to achieve a good outcome for the patient.”<\/p>\n

Woman instructed 10-year-old to kill newborn by deliberately dropping baby on floor: Police<\/h3>\n

Tara Alexis Sykes, 36, from Florida, is in jail after allegedly instructing a 10-year-old child to kill a newborn baby and the adults the child was living with through communications on a social media video game platform.<\/p>\n

Sykes has been charged with attempted murder while engaging in aggravated child abuse, according to a statement from the Escambia County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The investigation began on October 17, 2024, when deputies received a call from the Gulf Coast Kid\u2019s House, a child advocacy center, about a 2-month-old baby who had sustained severe injuries after being deliberately dropped on the kitchen floor by a 10-year-old.<\/p>\n

The authorities soon uncovered that Sykes had been communicating with the child via the Roblox platform, which features a chat function. Investigators claim that Sykes had provided the child with several methods to kill the infant.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said, \u201cSykes instructed the 10-year-old on various methods to kill the infant,\u201d including drowning the baby in the bathtub, scalding the child with boiling water, and dropping the baby on the floor to cause fatal injury.<\/p>\n

She allegedly went even further by instructing the 10-year-old on how to kill the adults living in the home by cutting their throats while they slept and burning the house down by spraying bed sheets with aerosol and setting them on fire.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office confirmed that the 10-year-old did attempt to carry out part of the plan by dousing the sheets with aerosol but was ultimately unable to follow through.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Chip W. Simmons expressed his shock over the case, saying, \u201cI have been in law enforcement for over 40 years and have never seen anything quite like this. I am truly disturbed by the circumstances and the thought that anyone could think like this, let alone instruct these acts to be carried out. There is something really wrong with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Sykes has been involved in a serious child abuse case. Earlier in 2024, both Sykes and her husband were arrested and charged with child neglect for allowing a 20-year-old man, who had impregnated their 14-year-old daughter, to live with them in their home.<\/p>\n

That case began in May 2024 when investigators from the Department of Children and Families responded to their home after discovering that the teenage daughter, who was 31 weeks pregnant, was also suffering from malnutrition.<\/p>\n

Both parents admitted to knowing that their daughter had been impregnated by the 20-year-old but failed to report the situation as a sexual crime. Instead, they allegedly threatened to kill the man unless his grandmother paid them $10,000, which she did, authorities confirmed.<\/p>\n

Both cases against Sykes remain ongoing, and she is currently being held without bond in the Escambia County Jail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman charged with rallying friends to murder man in his own home after he allegedly sent her to hospital earlier that day<\/h3>\n

A 22-year-old has been arrested and charged with organizing a deadly shooting that took place Tuesday afternoon in the New Chicago area of North Memphis.<\/p>\n

Brianna Lee faces one count of facilitation of first-degree murder.<\/p>\n

According to Memphis police, a man by the name of Ardis Reese was found shot to death inside his home on North Bellevue Boulevard late Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Reese was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Family members told police that earlier that morning, Reese had been in a fight with Lee, whose mother shared a child with him.<\/p>\n

Witnesses reportedly saw the 22-year-old walking toward Reese\u2019s house with \u201ca large group of males\u201d shortly before gunfire erupted.<\/p>\n

Lee told investigators that Reese attacked her early Tuesday morning, causing her to go to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Once she was discharged, Lee said she rallied her friends through social media, who would then show up at her house with guns.<\/p>\n

The group then walked to Reese\u2019s house just a few streets over.<\/p>\n

Lee told police that they knocked on his door and then broke it open after there was no answer.<\/p>\n

She said that\u2019s when her friends opened fire. Lee admitted that she ran back to her house afterward.<\/p>\n

Lee is being held on a $175,000 bond and is due in court Thursday morning.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
