Man charged in apparent love triangle shooting in Hewitt, Texas early Wednesday morning<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nHEWITT, Texas (KWTX) – Demagio Person, 37, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony, after a shooting Wednesday morning in front of the Fedex on Alliance Parkway, police confirmed to KWTX.<\/p>\n

Officers initially responded to an disturbance call at about 7 a.m. Two men were reportedly fighting and fired several rounds during the altercation.<\/p>\n

One individual was armed with a rifle, the other with a hand gun, police said.<\/p>\n

The fight, according to police, was the result of an apparent love triangle with both men dating the same woman.<\/p>\n

One of the individuals involved in the shooting works at the FedEx, police said.<\/p>\n

Both men were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but have since been released.<\/p>\n

Person was the only one charged in the shooting because the other individual, the FedEx employee, was acting in self-defense, police said.<\/p>\n

Person is held at the McLennan County Jail on a $500,000 bond.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) \u2014 One person is dead and a police officer has been hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting Wednesday in Jackson County.<\/p>\n

According to the Jackson Police Department, the department was notified by the Lenawee County Sheriff\u2019s Office shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday that a shooting suspect was driving toward Jackson County. That driver had allegedly shot their brother less than an hour earlier.<\/p>\n

JPD officers spotted the vehicle and coordinated with the Jackson County Sheriff\u2019s Office to plan a stop. Once officers tried to pull the driver over, the suspect started shooting at them and throwing explosives from the vehicle. Several other vehicles and homes were hit, but no bystanders were injured.<\/p>\n

One shot eventually hit a JPD sergeant, going through his arm and into his body. A deputy from the Jackson County Sheriff\u2019s Office took the officer to a hospital. He was last listed in good condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cConverging officers and deputies were able to stop the suspect. Multiple shots were fired during the attempt to apprehend him,\u201d the Jackson Police Department said in a statement. \u201cDuring the exchange of gunfire, the suspect was shot and incapacitated; no other officers or deputies were shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
