Eugene police respond to shooting after attempted convenience store robbery<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nEUGENE, Ore. — Police responded to a shooting at a convenience store on Commons Drive Sunday evening, which they said happened during an attempted robbery with a gun.<\/p>\n

The situation took place at the Duck N Go store around 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

EPD said the suspect involved in the attempted robbery was shot by the store’s owner. The suspect was taken to the local hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, according to law enforcement officials.<\/p>\n

The store’s owner was not injured and police said there is no ongoing threat to the community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Homeowner Shoots Back<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nStratford Police said in a statement: \u201cPatrol Officers responded to 277 Burritt Avenue, at approximately 0430 hours, on report of a
\ndisturbance.
\nUpon arrival, Officers determined that the homeowner had exchanged gunfire with at least
\ntwo suspects who may have been attempting to steal one of his vehicles that were parked in
\nhis driveway.
\nSeveral gunshot rounds, fired by the suspect(s) hit the homeowner\u2019s residence.
\nThere are no reported injuries at this time.
\nThe suspects fled the area in an unknown vehicle.
\nDetective Mike Panton is conducting this investigation.

An alleged car thief picked on the wrong car tonight after attempting to break in to a car on Burritt Avenue near Milford Avenue in Stratford according to unconfirmed radio reports. The car thief fired and the homeowner returned fire. No word on any injuries at this time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Texas homeowner shoots person during possible attempted break-in, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOne person was shot twice by a Fort Worth homeowner during a possible attempted break-in, police said.<\/p>\n

The Fort Worth Police Department said officers responded at approximately 12:05 a.m. Wednesday to the 4300 block of Berke Road for a shooting call. When officers got to the home, they located a person who had been shot twice. Fort Worth police said Wednesday they believe from their investigation that the person was shot by the homeowner during a possible attempted break-in.<\/p>\n

Fort Worth police said the person who was shot was taken to the hospital with “what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
