Man fatally shot by police at Hollywood Casino & Hotel had attacked another man with knife<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAn armed man who was fatally shot by officers at the Hollywood Casino & Hotel on Saturday had injured another man with a knife earlier that night, according to the Indiana State Police.<\/p>\n

Shortly before 1 a.m., three Lawrenceburg police officers responded to the hotel on Hollywood Boulevard with reports of a man threatening and pursuing another person with a knife on the fourth floor.<\/p>\n

The officers were told at the scene the man had begun firing a gun.<\/p>\n

Officers exited the hotel elevator on the fourth floor and encountered the armed man in the hallway. An officer commanded the man to drop the handgun he was holding.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nMan Allegedly Attempting to Carjack Car Carrying Mother, Children, Shot Dead by Bystander<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA alleged carjacker who reportedly attempted to enter a vehicle occupied by a mother and her children was shot dead Sunday by a bystander who intervened.<\/p>\n

Boca News Now reported the incident occurred in Pompano Beach, Florida, just before 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s preliminary investigation found that 37-year-old Brian Semil allegedly tried to enter the mother\u2019s car and three bystanders came to her rescue, preventing Semil from getting inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

At some point in the incident one of the three bystanders shot Semil.<\/p>\n

He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

Semil\u2019s mother, Selinda Crawley, refused to believe her son was shot because he was attempting to carjack a vehicle, WPLG noted.<\/p>\n

Crawley said, \u201cThat is not true. That\u2019s something y\u2019all made up to cover the act of this guy murdering my son. That is not a true story.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
