BSO: Man fatally shot at gas station in Pompano Beach; 1 taken into custody<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPOMPANO BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A man was shot and killed following an altercation at a gas station in Pompano Beach.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred at the Race Trac located at 599 West Atlantic Boulevard around 5 p.m., Sunday.<\/p>\n

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews located 37-year-old Brian Semil suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n

According to Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office, Semil tried to forcibly enter a vehicle that was occupied by a mother and her children. Three males intervened and prevented Semil from entering the vehicle.<\/p>\n

At some point during this altercation, one of the three individuals discharged his weapon, striking Semil.<\/p>\n

All three men and additional witnesses remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gun-wielding suspect gets beaten up by employees at pizzeria he tried to rob: police<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPizzeria employees in Texas took justice into their own hands when a man tried to rob their restaurant last week.<\/p>\n

Suspect Richard Curtis, 19, was charged with aggravated robbery, according to FOX 7 Austin. He allegedly walked into a Marco’s Pizza location in Austin at around 7 p.m. on Thursday and approached an employee.<\/p>\n

FOX 7 reported that Curtis slipped the worker a note reading, “Don’t say s\u2014t, empty the drawer.” He then showed the employee a gun in his waistband, according to an affidavit.<\/p>\n

The quick-thinking employee grabbed the suspect and put him in a chokehold while his co-worker called police.<\/p>\n

While the employee and Curtis were fighting, the manager of Marco’s Pizza lifted Curtis’ gun from his waistband, according to FOX 7.<\/p>\n

The manager allegedly tried shooting Curtis, but the gun didn’t fire.<\/p>\n

Seeing that the gun wasn’t working, the manager then pummeled Curtis with the handle of the gun.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
