Man says he shot, killed man who tried to rob him after inviting friends to his Atlanta home<\/strong><\/p>\n

ATLANTA \u2014 Officers are investigating a Sunday night homicide in Atlanta\u2019s Summerhill neighborhood.<\/p>\n

An Atlanta police spokesperson said that officers received a call around 9:30 p.m. about a shooting at a party.<\/p>\n

Officers then found a dead man in his 20s who has still not been identified.<\/p>\n

Channel 2?s Steve Gehlbach spoke exclusively with the shooter, who identified himself only as Joe. He says he\u2019s not facing charges because he shot the man in self-defense.<\/p>\n

Joe said he and his roommate invited a friend over to watch football on Sunday night. He believes that friend had two other people come to the door and pull on gun on him,<\/p>\n

\u201cI told them to leave. They left with no contest. When I turn around, there\u2019s a barrel of a gun to my face. My roommate wrestled the victim to the ground with the gun pointed to me\u2026which they separated and I opened fire in self-defense,\u201d Joe said. \u201cThe victim had a gun in his hand and everything.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHPD said the man who was shot had accused his neighbor of calling the police on him before the incident.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nHOUSTON \u2014 A man shot his neighbor in west Houston early Tuesday morning after police say that neighbor pushed his way into the man’s home and threatened to kill him.<\/p>\n

This happened shortly after midnight on Eldridge Parkway north of Westheimer Road.<\/p>\n

According to the Houston Police Department, the neighbor, a young man, was drunk and knocked on the other man’s door and accused him of calling the police on him. HPD said the accusations were not true.<\/p>\n

At some point, the young man pushed his way into the home and threatened to kill the other man.<\/p>\n

That’s when the shooter opened fire, hitting the man twice. The man who was shot was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK. He’s also expected to be charged. The shooter’s case will be referred to a grand jury to determine whether charges are warranted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
