\nPolice say a Poplar Bluff man was shot while he tried to climb through a woman’s bedroom window.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nPOPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) – Police said a man was shot while he allegedly entered a woman\u2019s bedroom window.<\/p>\n

Rondriguez Hopkins, 24, of Poplar Bluff was arrested after he was released from the hospital.<\/p>\n

According to Poplar Bluff police, they responded to a home in the 600 block of Victor Street around 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, October 12 for a report of a shooting.<\/p>\n

They say a resident of the home told them she shot at a man as he entered her bedroom window.<\/p>\n

Officers found the man, later identified as Hopkins, who had a gunshot wound to his shoulder and hand. He was taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment and then transferred to a Cape Girardeau hospital.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After some searching, Mr. Hopkins finally rattled the wrong doorknob.<\/p>\n

\nCHICAGO \u2014 A 24-year-old man confirmed to be an off-duty correctional deputy for the Cook County Sheriff\u2019s Department shot at an armed offender after being held up at gunpoint overnight in West Loop.<\/p>\n

Chicago police say the 24-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of North Morgan Street at around 1:45 a.m. Sunday when a male exited a Ford SUV and demanded the victim\u2019s property at gunpoint. The victim then took out his gun and fired several shots in the direction of the armed offender.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
