HCSO: Armed man shot and killed trying to force his way into ex’s northwest Harris County home<\/strong>
\nAccording to investigators, the shooter stayed at the scene.<\/em><\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2014 A man was shot and killed Tuesday night when deputies said he tried to break into his ex\u2019s home in northwest Harris County.<\/p>\n

It happened on Willow Lodge Court, which is near Beltway 8 and West Road.<\/p>\n

According to a post on X from the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the man was armed with a gun when he tried to get inside the home. He was shot and later taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The person who deputies said shot the man stayed at the scene.<\/p>\n

At this point, It\u2019s not clear who was involved in the shooting.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’d suspect both the gentleman who was gunshot and the person identified by the deputies who shot him were involved, and KHOU is there.<\/p>\n

\nAn owner of the Florida Hemp Distribution store, which became the scene of a homicide investigation Friday, says the fatal shooting was “out of self defense” during an attempted robbery.<\/p>\n

In the hours after Hurricane Helene passed through, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a shooting at the hemp store located at 220 West Tennessee Street just before 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Co-owner Alex Petrick said two men entered the store and approached the only employee working at the time, forcing the employee to pull out his firearm.<\/p>\n

The employee ordered the men to leave.<\/p>\n

“Leave, leave. Don’t make me do this,” the employee told the would-be robbers, according to Petrick.<\/p>\n

Petrick said the suspect continued to advance toward him until the employee’s back was against the wall and he fired.<\/p>\n

Petrick said no other customers or employees were present, and the other man who entered with the suspect fled as soon as he saw the gun.<\/p>\n

TPD questioned the employee but released him after several hours, according to Petrick. No charges were brought, he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
