Charlotte County deputies investigate shooting near US 41<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Charlotte County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating the aftermath of a shooting near a Wawa convenience store.<\/p>\n

Deputies responded to reports of gunshots off of U.S. 41, near the Wawa, at around 9 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

CCSO confirmed the shooting at 11 a.m., stating that all parties have been accounted for and that there is no threat to the public.<\/p>\n

U.S. 41 was closed for hours but has since reopened in both directions.<\/p>\n

The Wawa\u2019s parking lot was seen wrapped with yellow police tape.<\/p>\n

Helicopters could be seen surveying the area.<\/p>\n

A WINK News viewer witnessed a med flight helicopter taking off near the scene.<\/p>\n

An on-scene witness claimed that she had seen two men exchanging gunfire at the Wawa station.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot dead, another stabbed in Forest Park<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFOREST PARK, Ohio (WXIX) – Police have identified the men involved in an early Wednesday deadly shooting and stabbing.<\/p>\n

Around 2:15 a.m., officers arrived at the 1800 block of Lincrest Drive to find 28-year-old Anthony Braxton suffering from multiple stab wounds outside the house, according to the Forest Park Police Department.<\/p>\n

Inside the Lincrest Drive home is where officers found 66-year-old Timothy Woodson, police explained.<\/p>\n

Woodson, who had multiple gunshot wounds, died at the scene, Forest Park police said.<\/p>\n

Detectives think Braxton and Woodson \u201cinflicted the injuries to each other,\u201d the department explained.<\/p>\n

In a 911 call, Braxton said he acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n

\u201cI shot him because he was stabbing me,\u201d Braxton is heard saying on the call.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
