\nAn 84-year-old woman in Florida saved her own life after punching an aggressive alligator in the face last week.<\/p>\n

North Fort Myers resident Dolores Boppel, 84, was taking her dog on a walk when the two encountered a gator on Thursday evening. Boppel had thrown her dog, a Shih Tzu, in the air as soon as the reptile began lunging at her.<\/p>\n

She told local outlet WBBH that she was bitten in her legs and fingers before she sucker-punched the alligator, causing it to retreat. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office shared bodycam footage of the aftermath of the attack with Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

“She was walking the dog out here and she said it come [sic] running full speed at her,” a witness said in the footage. “She chucked the dog, and saved her dog.”

\nThe Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) confirmed the incident to Fox News Digital, identifying the creature as a 7-foot, 3-inch alligator.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nPolice in Orlando, Florida, arrested a man wearing an ankle monitor who allegedly tried to kidnap a woman in a Walmart parking lot.<\/p>\n

Officers with the Orlando Police Department responded around 4:30 p.m. Monday to a Walmart on South Goldenrod Road near Market Place Drive for an armed robbery and attempted kidnapping. Police say the suspect, 54-year-old Juan Marcos Perez, was pacing the parking lot before approaching the victim. Perez pulled out a knife and held it to the woman\u2019s throat before forcing her into the trunk of her car, according to cops.<\/p>\n

According to a probable cause arrest affidavit obtained by local Fox affiliate WOFL, the victim tried to fight back.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you keep this up, I\u2019ll slice your throat,\u201d Perez allegedly told the victim.<\/p>\n

Police said a bystander intervened and Perez ran away. The witness later told cops she saw the victim\u2019s \u201clegs flailing out of the trunk\u201d and Perez trying to push her in, the affidavit reportedly said. The witness stopped her car and got out to see if the woman needed help. That\u2019s when Perez reportedly ran off.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
