The 13 service members were killed as a result of an ISIS attack against those evacuating Afghanistan. Physically absent from the ceremony were Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Both Biden and Harris did leave statements regarding the three-year anniversary of this attack.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>From The Hill:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Trump was joined by family members of some of the 13 U.S. service members who were killed in a bombing at Abbey Gate during the withdrawal for a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.<\/p>\n<p>The former president descended the steps alongside family members to lay a wreath, listened to taps, then returned to the top of the steps and repeated the process twice more for others being honored Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Trump and his campaign have repeatedly attacked President Biden over the Afghanistan withdrawal, referring to it as the most &#8220;embarrassing moment&#8221; in the nation&#8217;s history. Trump and his allies have continued those attacks since Harris replaced Biden atop the Democratic ticket, pointing to Harris&#8217;s own comments that she was the last person in the room with Biden as he finalized his decision on the withdrawal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;This is the third anniversary of the BOTCHED Afghanistan withdrawal, the most EMBARRASSING moment in the history of our Country,&#8221;<\/span><\/strong> Trump posted on Truth Social. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;Gross Incompetence &#8212; 13 DEAD American soldiers, hundreds of people wounded and dead, AMERICANS and BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF MILITARY EQUIPMENT LEFT BEHIND.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Additional Reading:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Samuels, B.
