It may have gone unnoticed, but yet another CSM hit the news in Washington – not the erstwhile Mr. Walz, not the CSM Veronica Knapp (“in charge of the Army branch that oversees operations across the greater D.C. region”) relieved August 8, but yet another:<\/p>\n

Command Sgt. Maj. Harold “Ed” Jarrell, the top enlisted leader for the Army’s 1st Information Operations Command, was relieved Tuesday, though it was unclear what led to his dismissal.<\/p>\n

Jarrell was fired due to a “loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead effectively,” Maj. Lindsay Roman, a spokesperson for U.S. Army Cyber Command, told Military.com, declining to go into detail.Military.com<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Well, we know one person who isn’t going to the Democrat National Convention this week, despite his prior plans to do so.<\/p>\n

Keith Rose was charged with felony first-degree property damage following the protest on Friday. In addition to his role with the state Democratic Party, he serves on the Civilian Oversight Board for the St. Louis Police Department.<\/p>\n

Hundreds of people gathered in Ferguson Friday to mark the 10th anniversary of Michael Brown\u2019s death in the St. Louis suburb. As midnight approached, only a few dozen remained, and some of those protesters began shaking and damaging a fence outside the police station.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When police moved out to stop the protesters, one cop was pushed down, his head injured, and remains in critical condition. Note, Rose is NOT charged with the assault, but is one of four accompanying protesters charged with property damage. The man who was charged is pictured above.<\/p>\n

The St. Louis Civilian Oversight Board reviews complaints against St. Louis police officers. Rose was appointed to the board in early 2024. Three members of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen signed a letter urging his removal.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeith Rose has decided to voluntarily withdraw as an uncommitted alternate delegate to the DNC,\u201d the statement said. \u201cThe Missouri Democratic Party is taking appropriate action according to Party rules in replacing Mr. Rose with another uncommitted alternate from the area.\u201d\u00a0 AP<\/a><\/p>\n

Act 10, which came into effect in Louisiana on August 1, increases state-level oversight on post-conviction relief.<\/p>\n

The legislation was introduced during a special crime session in the Louisiana legislature and agreed upon March 5.<\/p>\n

In the time between March 5 and August 1, Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams reportedly struck post-conviction relief deals with at least 28 prisoners, according to Fox 8.<\/p>\n

According to former Orleans Parish prosecutor and Bayou Mama Bears founder Laura Rodrigue, that number is even higher: 42.<\/p>\n

“What really bothered me as a former prosecutor was the statement that [Williams] made in response to media requests about this was that he had stated, and has maintained his position that he was \u2018committed to undoing the wrongs of the past,\u2019” said Rodrigue.<\/p>\n

“The really interesting thing we found about the convictions that he was undoing was, there was not any evidence in his own pleadings that indicated that there was any wrongdoing in the past,” added Rodrigue. “So he was merely just releasing people that he felt like releasing.”\u00a0 Fox News<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
