In the 1980s, Yuri Bezmenov participated in an interview. He was a former KGB agent. During the interview, he talked about the Soviet propaganda campaign working through American fronts. Their intent was to incrementally subvert the United States. This subversion included indoctrination and propaganda that would lead people to a certain point to where they would not change their minds even if presented with the facts.<\/p>\n

Bezmenov used the metaphor of a banana. E.g., you show the person a banana, tell them it is a banana, and this individual will insist on it being something else. We have seen an example of that here. Instead of a banana, people are shown the reflection on an aircraft contradicting the image that the aircraft is in. There are individuals out there who will insist that the manipulated image is authentic, despite the contradiction between the aircraft’s reflection and what is shown near the aircraft.<\/p>\n
